Trash Service
Service Information
Residents have a 96 gallon cart. Residents may rent an additional 96 gallon cart.
Service Schedule
Trash service is provided weekly.
Container Setout Instructions
Place carts at the curb with wheels against curb by 6 a.m. on collection days and remove same day. Keep carts at least four feet from parked cars, mailboxes and other obstacles that may prevent Environmental Recycling & Disposal team members from picking it up.

Acceptable and Non-Acceptable Materials

Acceptable and Non-Acceptable Materials
Break down cardboard boxes to keep them from getting stuck in your cart. Don’t place plastic bags or liners in the recycling cart. Instead, many local grocery stores offer recycling drop-off programs. Visit our recycling guidelines page for more information on recycling.
Yard Waste
Service Information
Residents are allowed to place 10 kraft bags of yard waste out per week. A yard waste toter is available for an additional $6/month and will increase your limit to a toter plus 10 kraft bags per week. Yard waste toters rentals are available April 1 to November 30.

Yard waste service is provided weekly from April 1 through November 30.
Service Instructions & Limitations
Branches must be less than 2″ in diameter. Bundles must be tied and less than 4′ in length, 3′ in diameter, 50lbs.
Acceptable and Non-Acceptable Materials
Acceptable items include grass clippings, leaves, tree branches. Brush and branches bundled and tied with biodegradable string, maximum of 50lb./4ft.
Non-acceptable items include dirt, stone, sod, concrete, railroad ties, tree roots/ stumps, branches larger than 2in in. diameter.
Bulk Collection
Service Guidelines
Environmental Recycling & Disposal will pickup bulk items weekly. Bulk items must be less than 50 lbs. and reasonably managed by one individual.
Residents must schedule pickup for bulk items heavier than 50 lbs. and/or requires more than one person to move.

Acceptable and Non-Acceptable Bulky Item Materials
Acceptable items include furniture, carpet (rolled, tied in 4ft. bundles), mattresses (wrap in plastic), paint (no lid/paint solidified), grills (no propane tank).
Non-acceptable items include construction, cleanout debris, hazardous waste, auto parts, stumps, riding mowers, tires and items over 100lb.

White Goods
Environmental Recycling & Disposal will pick up one white good weekly placed at the curb by 6 a.m. on your regularly scheduled service day. Call ENVRD at (877) 323-2222 to request pickup 24 hours in advance. Acceptable items include appliances.
Construction & Demolition Debris
Environmental Recycling & Disposal will pick up a small amount of household construction debris placed at the curb by 6 a.m. on your regularly scheduled service day. Acceptable items include household construction debris. Container not to exceed 32 gallons & 50lbs. Bundles not to exceed 4′ in length, 2′ in diameter & 50lbs Non-acceptable items include oil, propane tanks, antifreeze, concrete, rock, stumps, cement, bricks, roofing, wet paint and similar material
Electronic Waste Recycling
Unincorporated Wheatland Township residents can call (815) 725-4555 to schedule an electronics waste pickup. Additional fees will apply. Electronics can also be dropped off free of charge at the Naperville Environmental Collection Campus, 156 Fort Hill Drive Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Acceptable items include computers/ equipment, TVs, microwaves, stereos, digital equipment, cell phones, video games, microwaves, phones, and small appliances. Non-acceptable items include commercially sized electronics.
Holiday Tree Collection
Christmas trees will be picked up on the regularly scheduled service day during the month of January. Trees must be clean of all decorations and lights and not in bags. Trees larger than 6ft must be cut in half. Acceptable items include fresh holiday trees. Non-acceptable items include artificial holiday trees.
